The Kenyatta family, which owns numerous enterprises and corporations throughout Kenya, is unquestionably among the wealthiest in the nation.
The family of the late President Uhuru Kenyatta, however, has a property that is primarily constructed of mabati, which is not widely known.
Given their affordability, the houses are intended for Kenyans from lower socioeconomic classes.
A few kilometers outside of Kitengela town is a remote mabati estate known only as Kwa Uhuru.
Before to Uhuru Kenyatta entering politics, the mabati houses were given his name.

The estate has 200 units, with the smaller homes renting for Sh1,200 per month and the slightly larger homes costing Sh1,450, per the standard. The estate has a front perimeter wall.
The Kenyattas receive roughly Sh250, 000 per month from the mabati residences, according to the report.
On behalf of the former first family, a representative is paid the rent.
An adjacent flower farm called Exotic Penina Fields Group Limited employs the majority of the renters.
A borehole that supplies the estate with water around-the-clock and 24-hour security are both features.
