Leaving a void that can never be filled in the hearts of many, Angela Chibalonza will forever be remembered despite her controversial death.

The late celebrated gospel singer Chibalonza died over 15 years ago in a grisly road accident along the Nakuru Nairobi Highway after performing at Egerton University.

How did Chibalonza die?

In their way back to Nairobi after the show, Chibalonza suggested that John Isaji his director to give the keys to another driver once they arrived in Nakuru because he was worn out.
He didn’t do it , reluctantly.

Chibalonza, who had been sleeping throughout their journey, awoke once they were in Gilgil and insisted that Isaji back off and allow someone else drive, which he did.

He shifted to the back of the car and fell asleep as another driver took over. Isaji was awakened by screams in Limuru after the car they were in crashed into a lorry from behind, severing the roof.

The only person who survived out of the 3 people with Chibalonza that day was John Isaji.

Isaji is now a pastor who leads a church in Juja called Hope and Restoration.
