Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has on Sunday ‘revived’ an old photo of President William Ruto when he was attacked during 2007 General election.

Taking to his Twitter account, Sonko has claimed that Ruto together with Hon Magara were were then attacked and beaten up by Simeon Nyachae’s men in Kisii.

Sonko says that the president was attacked by the ‘crooks’ as he campaigned for former prime Minister Raila Odinga.

This comes as Narc Kenya Martha Karua said that President William Ruto was not the only one who supported Raila back in 2007.

“In 2007 when president Ruto and hon Magara were beaten at keroka kisii by Nyachae’s men for campaigning for Raila odinga, The president was beaten for fighting for a man who is now fighting him by organising demonstrations.” Sonko’s post reads.

Sonko’s claims have elicited mixed reactions among Kenyan on social media as seen via the link given.
