Kenyan actor Benson Wanjau alias Mzee Ojwang died at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he had been admitted, few years ago.
Mzee Ojwang is said to have been suffering from Pneumonia.

His illness saw the government step in and pay for his medical fee with the Information Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi saying that the government would address the welfare of the Vitimbi crew.
The celebrated comedian was first admitted at the Loresho Hospital after a prolonged eye ailment.

The actor who has played key roles in local programmes Vitimbi, Vioja Mahakami, Vituko and Kinyonga among others had disappeared from Television screens for a long time, leaving his fans questioning his whereabout.

Mr Wanjau was born in 1937 in Nyeri. He, however, mastered a Luo character role perfectly in his career, inspiring a whole generation of comedians.
