Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has on Sunday night spoken hours after president William Ruto and Azimio la umoja boss Raila Odinga adresssed the nation.

The second in command via his Facebook account has now said that Kenya is country that is Governed by rule of law and that violence isn’t allowed.
He has Said that he has saluted Raila’s action to call off the demonstrations.
Gachagua has further said that Raila’s action is statesmanship.
“Kenya is a country of the rule of law. Violence and destruction of property has no place in the country. It will never be allowed under the leadership of President William Ruto now or in future. I salute Hon Raila Odinga for calling off demonstrations and violence and choosing to pursue his issues in Parliament in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of Kenya. That is Statesmanship. As our President has stated, the Goverment remains committed to protecting life and property tomorrow, the next day, next week and the years to come.” Gachagua’s post reads.
