Popular Mount Kenya leader Njohi, through his official Facebook page, has alleged what president Ruto and Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga did on Sunday. Njohi questioned why the both Raila and Ruto did not attended church on Sunday while other leaders in their camp attended.
“Something very odd happened today. Baba was not in Ruiru where other Azimio leaders worshipped. Curiously, Ruto for the first time in 60 years missed Church. It is right to speculate they met and Gachagua had no idea about it.” his post read.
ODM leader Raila Odinga has suspended countrywide mass protests.
This comes after President William Ruto addressed the nation and urged Raila to call off the demonstrations to give room for talks.
In a rejoinder, Raila who addressed the nation from his Capital office on Sunda termed Ruto’s statement as ‘important” and a “positive” development.
