The shortest person ever measured is Chandra Bahadur Dangi, who is barely 21.5 inches tall. Dangi, who was born in November 1939, has primitive dwarfism. His disease led his stature to remain abnormally short, but unlike other types of dwarfism, the consequences did not affect the proportion of his limbs and organs to the rest of his body.

Before winning the title of shortest person in the world in 2012, Dangi, who lives in a rural hamlet in Nepal, had never been evaluated by a doctor or received treatment for his ailment. He had no immediate medical issues, according to examinations by medical professionals at the Guinness Book of Records clinic.

Given that most people with his type of dwarfism experience health issues, Chandra is extraordinarily fit. He claims that for the majority of his life, he did not stake a claim to the Guinness record since he and his family were illiterate and were not aware that such a record even existed.
